Dr. Christian Bachem left the company resulting in a restructuring in Dr. Kern GmbH

| 1969 |
Dr. Kern GmbH developed the first solarium with an UV high-pressure radiating element system. The market launch took place in 1970.

The physicist Dr. Josef Kern sold his company to the Heraeus Group, "Original Hanau“.
The company owners managed Dr. Kern GmbH, continuing with its current range of products.

The range of products was expanded to include sun loungers and canopies in the UV low-pressure radiating element system.

| 1981 |
The Heraeus Group sold the company to Electrolux, Siegen.
The company continued to develop under the new name "Electrolux Kern GmbH".

Electrolux Kern GmbH took over the company Maspo Beilngries and moved production and sales from there to Göttingen. The range of products included the areas of health, fitness, body care, and others as well as hand and belt massage equipment for commercial as well as private use.

Electrolux Kern GmbH became owned by EOS-Werke Günther GmbH and was moved from Göttingen to Driedorf at the beginning of 1990.
